You have to let him know if he can be of help.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coffee Mornings<\/strong> are held on Thursdays from 10.00am-11.30am in the church hall. Come and join us for tea or coffee and a chat. You are always welcome.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Garden Party<\/strong>\u00a0 The annual Church garden party will take place in the Church Hall garden on Sunday 18th September from 2pm till 4pm.\u00a0Tickets are on sale in the church hall following today&#8217;s service &#8211; \u00a33 per adult \u00a32 per child<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christian Aid<\/strong> Jars of marmalade are for sale for \u00a31 each in the Church Hall in aid of Christian Aid. When the jar is empty please help Christian Aid by using this jar to save your &#8216;coppers&#8217;. Once your jar is filled please return to Tracy Thomson who will add all the donations to the good work of Christian Aid.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fashion Show<\/strong> &#8211; Friday 16th September at 7.15pm Come along to Picante at Unit H4, Newark Road South, Glenrothes, KY7 4NS and enjoy a fashion show with all profits being used for the refurbishment of the church buildings.\u00a0 Handbags, shoes and accessories will be on sale. Bring your family and friends along, tickets on sale from 14th August from Tracy Thomson.<\/p>\n<p><strong>News From The Pews Competition<\/strong> This week, and next week, there will be clues to help you solve the questions in Harry Gould\u2019s article on the Battle of the Somme 95th Anniversary. Clue 2 to help you in the competition is:- BBC News, 27th November, 1994, Sam Leitch reporting. The boy in the train, and his friend Geordie Munro, were found &#8220;Dancing in the streets&#8221; here tonight.\u00a0 Reminder of Clue 1:- Found in the pavement on the Royal Mile outside the High Kirk of Edinburgh, and the seventh Waverley novel. Next week, there will be a clue to question 3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Surafel &#8211; Our Sponsored Child<\/strong> In his latest letter Surafel tells us how he celebrated Easter with his family. They ate a traditional chicken dish with soft drinks &amp; chocolates. He was ill last Easter so was pleased to be able to enjoy it this year. He thanks us for the help he gets from our sponsorship and asks us to pray for his health. The full letter can be seen on the notice board in the hall. As letters take a few months to come from his area we can only pray that his family has not been affected by the famine. Thanks to everyone for their support<\/p>\n<p><strong>Help for Heroes Fundraising Day<\/strong> at Markinch Bowling Club today, Sunday 14th August.\u00a0 Judd Clark, from Markinch, has organised a bowling tournament, raffle etc for the charity, Help For Heroes. Judd decided he would like to help our country&#8217;s wounded troops as he is a member of the Army Cadet Force. A large number of Junior\/Senior pairs will play in this competition and you are invited to attend this morning\/afternoon event and help raise funds for this worthwhile cause.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Guild &#8211; Opening Social\u00a0<br \/>\n<\/strong>Buckhaven &amp; Methil Miners Brass Band are the special guests at the Guild Opening Social on Monday 12<sup>th<\/sup> September at 7.00pm in the church hall. THIS WILL BE A GREAT NIGHT.\u00a0 The social includes supper.
