Ministers Vestry Hour<\/strong> 12 noon – 1.00 pm. Please contact the Minister for an appointment – phone 01592-758264 or E-mail alex@arforsyth.com In the event of hospitalisation, serious illness, family anxiety, bereavement or personal difficulty the Minister is readily available to visit. You have to let him know if he can be of help.
\nCoffee Mornings<\/strong> are held on Thursdays from 10.00am – 11.30am in the church hall. Come and join us for tea or coffee and a chat. You are always welcome.
\nThe Guild<\/strong> meets tomorrow evening, Monday 28th November, at 7.00pm in the Church Hall. The speaker Beryl Luke will be telling us about her experiences ‘Trekking in the Sinai’ All welcome
\nThe Guild Carol Service<\/strong> this year is at Bennochy Parish Church on December 1st at 7.15pm when we will have our past Presidents\/Conveners and Mrs Mary Sherrard our past National Convener taking part, We invite everyone to this service.
\nChristmas Cards<\/strong> This year\u2019s church Christmas card is a bestseller. To avoid disappointment please complete an order form (available in the church entrance or in the church hall) and pass it on to Jean Forsyth.
\n\u2018Markinch – Its Church and Parish\u2019<\/strong> We have ordered a small quantity of hardback copies of this book in time for Christmas. If you are interested in a hardback copy please speak to Ken Wilkie as soon as possible to reserve one. They will be priced at \u00a315. We still have paperbacks in stock, priced at \u00a310.
\nThe Church Christmas Meal<\/strong> will be held at Balbirnie Golf Club on Friday, 16th December. Price is \u00a321 per person payable to Tracy Thomson by Sunday 11th December.\u00a0 Please bring a secret Santa gift along on the evening, to the value of \u00a33, marking it female (F) male (M) or either (E).
\nSwitching on of the Christmas Lights<\/strong> Everyone is invited to join us later this evening, 27th November at 6pm in Balbirnie Street for the switching on of the Christmas lights, followed by a family party in the Laurel Bank Hotel.
\nHaggis Drive<\/strong> Come along and join us for an evening of fun on Thursday 1st December in the Church hall at 7pm, for our annual Haggis Drive – all rules will be explained on the night!\u00a0Only \u00a32 per person and light refreshments will be served.\u00a0Fish Suppers can be ordered (and paid for) on the evening.\u00a0An event not to be missed.\u00a0 More information from Tracy Thomson – 01592 775752

Christian Aid – An Incredible Journey – YOU can help.
\n<\/strong>This Christmas, Rogers, a modern-day wise man, will be travelling far from home to deliver hope and joy in rural Kenya. In Kenya’s Nyanza Province, malaria and HIV\u00a0rates are extremely high, but many sick people simply cannot access the life-saving treatment they require. Rogers, a volunteer community health worker, travels to these remote communities on a red motorbike to bring mosquito nets, healthcare and medicines to those most in need.

\n\u2018Trees of Memories\u2019<\/strong>
\nOver the Christmas season, our \u2018Trees of Memories\u2019 in the church windows offer a way to remember loved ones no longer with us. Memory tags are available from the 27th November (Advent Sunday).\u00a0 Add your own inscription on the reverse of the tag before hanging it on the tree before or after the morning service. Last year more than one hundred cards adorned the trees.
\nMemory cards (\u00a31) are available from the table in the church entrance. All proceeds from the \u2018Trees of Memories\u2019 are going towards the provision of a fresh-water well in rural Kenya.
