Ministers Vestry Hour 12 noon – 1.00 pm. Please contact the Minister for an appointment – phone 01592-758264 or E-mail alex@arforsyth.com  In the event of hospitalisation, serious illness, family anxiety, bereavement or personal difficulty the Minister is readily available to visit. You have to let him know if he can be of help.

Coffee Morning from 10.00 to 11.30am on Thursdays in the church hall. Join us for tea or coffee and a chat. Sales table & lucky tickets.

Sunday Teas – Thank you to everyone who has helped with Sunday teas and soup throughout the year. New rotas are being made for February 2011 onwards so if you would like to join the list of volunteers please contact Tracy Thomson or John Wood.

Let’s club together to buy a gift that makes a big difference – A Well in Rural Kenya for less than £500. Donations can be placed in the well over in the church hall. Gift Cards are available in the hall if you wish your donation to be in the form of a Christmas present to a friend or relative.

Sunday School Due to the small number of children and the weather conditions the past few Sundays the Sunday School are unfortunately unable to contribute to this years Christmas Service. They would like to thank all those who have shown an interest in and given donations to them over the year and wish everyone a Happy and Healthy Christmas and New Year

Surafel Thanks to all who have donated to Surafel, our sponsored child in Ethiopia. The latest letter from him is on the notice board along with a copy of his School Report. Without your support he would not be able to attend school or receive the Christmas gift we have sent. The calendar for next year is in the hall, anyone wishing to donate please add their name to it and give money to any Sunday school teacher.

Prayer Call – Anyone who is interested can pick up the December and January copy of Kirkcaldy Presbytery’s Prayer Call leaflet  in the vestibule. 

Shoebox Appeal – Glenrothes Rotary are sending shoeboxes to Eastern Europe for an Easter delivery. Please collect empty boxes and information sheets from the Church Hall if you wish to support this appeal.

Markinch: Its Church and Parish A new book by Ian Gourlay and Ken Wilkie and a companion to the volume The Church in Markinch which was published in 2001. The paperback is priced at £12.50 (£10 for church members) and the hardback priced at £18.00 (£15 for church members). All profits from the sale of the book go to our church funds. Copies of the book are available in the hall after the service today.

The Trees of Memories The trees in the church windows offer a way to remember loved ones no longer with us. Add your own inscription on the reverse of the Memory Tag before hanging it on the tree. Tags are available for a £1 donation from the table in the church entrance. All proceeds will go towards the provision of a freshwater well in rural Kenya. Christian Aid provide the well at a cost of £500.
