Campaign to Restore the Old Markinch Station Booking Office
Many people see the old stone house at the station but do not realise or remember that the lower buildings towards the bridge are the Old Booking Office and are lying empty. What would you do with this lovely old building?
We are consulting you to see how the building might be used for the benefit of the Markinch community in the future. We aim to gather your thoughts as to how the various rooms could be used so we can present a business plan for its restoration that benefits Markinch. You are invited to submit ideas for uses for this old listed building – meeting point? Archive museum? community centre?
Come along on Saturday April 21st April (10am – 3pm)  See inside the building:  Learn the history of the railway in Markinch: Sketch or write down your Ideas:  Fun activities:  Free tea and coffee!
If you can’t come along for coffee, get your form from Markinch Post Office, Good News or at the Markinch branch of David Sands. Write or draw your ideas and return it to one of these venues.
Help put this building back into the community
