Ministers Vestry Hour 12 noon – 1.00 pm. Coffee Mornings are held on Thursdays from 10.00am-11.30am in the church hall. Come and join us for tea or coffee and a chat. You are always welcome. See Tracy Thomson for complimentary tea or coffee vouchers for the Thursday coffee mornings. Valid any Thursday in May.

The Flowers in Church today are dedicated to the Glory of God and are in loving memory of Nan Steedman. They are gifted to the church by her daughter, Jean Forsyth.

Church Flowers Would anyone in the congregation who would like flowers delivered from the Sunday service to the elderly, sick, bereaved, or someone going through a difficult time please contact the person dealing with the flowers for that month. The ladies volunteering for the following months are, for May – Christine Annandale, for June – Margaret Johnston and for July – Jean Wilson.

General Assembly Webcast The 2012 General Assembly opened yesterday and runs until Friday 25th May. During the Assembly there will be a free video webcast of all the proceedings. (Follow the link on the Church of Scotland Website) Join the Assembly each day at 9.30am for the start of worship and then the follow the business of the day.

Recipe Book We need your help to compile a church cookery book. We need a title for the book and we need recipes for the book. There will be a prize for the best title. Sections are:- Soups / Starters / Fish / Main Dishes / Desserts / Cakes & Scones / Biscuits / Confectionery / Preserves & Chutney.  Title and/or recipe to Jean by Sunday 24th June 2012 to:-

Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert  A Diamond Jubilee Concert will take place in Markinch Town Hall on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th May at 7.30pm. The following organisations will all be taking part in the concert:-   MARKINCH PRIMARY SCHOOL  –  MARKINCH AMATEUR OPERATIC SOCIETY  –  MARKINCH COMMUNITY & DISTRICT CHOIR  –  MARKINCH SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCERS  –  THE TULLIS RUSSELL MILLS BAND
