Markinch Burial Register 1799-1854
We recently made this burial register available as a download from the church website. The 222-page burial register contains details of those interred in Markinch Churchyard between the years of 1799 and 1854. The list was compiled by members of Fife Family History Society (FFHS) and re-formatted into this current version by Ian Gourlay. If anyone would find this to be of interest but does not have access to the internet it is possible to borrow a printed copy. See Ken Wilkie for more information.
Christian Aid – What a week, thank you!
Christian Aid Week is now over for another year – and what a tremendous week of life-changing fundraising you’ve been part of! I want to express my sincere thanks to you all for everything you have done to make this week a success. Following the Coffee Mornings, Souper Sunday, Haggis Drive, envelope donations and Giving for Lent, we at Markinch Parish Church have raised £1800 so far. Christian Aid Week simply wouldn’t happen without you. Donations can still made via Tracy Thomson.
Church Coffee Morning Saturday 19th June from 10am – 12pm.
Come along for a chat at this event in aid of the church fabric fund. There will be books on sale, and a sales table. If you would like to donate any items for sale, (home baking, craft items etc), the hall will be open from 9.00am. If you would like to help out at this event, please contact Marianne Sankey or Jennifer Watt.
Recycle your old clothes and raise funds for our church.
We are collecting all types of unwanted textiles and our church will get money for every kilo of textiles we collect. Bring bagged items to the Church Hall, before our collection date of 13th June.
