During the communion service at Markinch Parish Church on Sunday the 15th May, church elders, Mr Grant Taylor, Mrs Jean Wilson and Mrs Nancy Munro were each presented with a certificate of long service signed by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, the Right Reverend John Christie.
The elders were warmly thanked by the minister, the Revd. Alex Forsyth, for their loyal service, commitment and dedication. Each of the elders has served the Church of Scotland as an ordained elder for over thirty years. The minister then presented each elder with a Study Bible.
