Ministers Vestry Hour 12 noon – 1.00 pm. Please contact the Minister for an appointment – phone 01592-758264 or E-mail alex@arforsyth.com  In the event of hospitalisation, serious illness, family anxiety, bereavement or personal difficulty the Minister is readily available to visit. You have to let him know if he can be of help.

Coffee Mornings are held on Thursdays from 10.00am – 11.30am in the church hall. Come and join us for coffee and a chat. You are always welcome.

The Congregational Board will meeting at 7.15 p.m. tomorrow night, Monday 16th May. Copies of the agenda and minute of the previous meeting are now available in the Session House for those members who do not have e-mail facilities.

Christian Aid – Christian Aid envelopes are available for donations to Christian Aid. Supporting Christian Aid this year will enable us to purchase Bamboo Shelters for  Burmese refugees in Thailand. More information at www.presentaid.org  Please return any Christian Aid envelopes during 15th – 21st May to Tracy Thomson.

The Big Spring Clean On Saturday 21st May between 10am and 12 noon there will be a ‘Big Spring Clean’ of our Church Hall. Everyone is invited to come along with their rubber gloves and a bucket to help clean our hall.  Please inform Tracy Thomson if you are able to come and help.

Markinch Uniformed Youth Organisations are holding a Car Boot Sale in 252 Hall (Institute), Betson Street, Saturday 21st May 10.00-12.00 Cake & Candy, Tombola, Teas.

Burntisland Festival of the Word & Spirit  Friday 27th May to Sunday 29th May. Celebrating the living God at work in His church, inspired by the Word, and filled with the Holy Spirit. On the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible, which was conceived in Burntisland Parish Church when the General Assembly asked James VI for a new translation of the Word of God. All are invited and leaflets detailing the programme of events can be picked up in the vestibule or more details are available at www.burntislandkirk.org.uk/festival.html

The Flowers in Church today are dedicated to the Glory of God and are in loving memory of Jean Gould. They are gifted to the church by her “boys” – her sons Harry and Bryan.

Christian Aid Week 15th May – 22nd May
Following the success of our Christmas collection for a ‘Well for Kenya’ we will again be purchasing a large item through Christian Aid.

The Re-scheduled Concert by The East Fife Ladies Choir  on behalf of Help for Heroes will now take place on Tuesday 17th May at 7.00pm in the Church.
Please use your old ticket if you bought one previously. Tickets can now be purchased from the minister, priced £5.00 or you can pay at the door.
