The new Christmas Tree lights were switched on in Markinch on 9th December thanks to Markinch Community Trust. A photograph of the event was featured on the front page of the Glenrothes Gazette that week but unfortunately the editor was forced to crop the original image to suit the space on the page leaving a lot of the children out of the photograph.
