GROW After 6 and a half years Gwyneth has decided to move on to something new and is beginning a degree in digital media in September. The Trustees and Management Group have accepted her resignation and would like to express their appreciation for all the work, time and effort that she has given to the project over the years. Please pray for Gwyneth as she fulfils her summer holiday commitments and for the Management Group and Trustees as we move forward.

Glenrothes YMCA is spearheading Foodbank in Glenrothes and requests for food parcels are increasing for reasons such as changes to the benefit system.

In response to this appeal, a box can be found in the vestibule and if you would like to make a donation of non-perishable foods, please place it in the box on a Sunday, and we will ensure that it is delivered to the food bank on a Monday. They have given a list of suggested food items which they really need as shown below. If anyone would like to donate to this appeal, please hand it in and I will add it to the delivery each week from the church.

Breakfast – cereal bars and porridge (microwavable or normal)

Lunch – Tinned Soup, Spaghetti or Beans, Macaroni or ravioli (any tinned quick meal). Rice Pudding, custard, angel delight or jelly.

Dinner – Packet Pasta n sauce, savoury rice or noodles. Dry pasta or rice with a protein (tinned tuna, corned beef, chicken, ham, etc) tinned vegetables and a jar or packet sauce (pasta, curry, chilli, sweet & sour etc). Tinned potato with tinned protein meal (mince & onion, stew etc)

Extras – tea bags, coffee, long-life milk

The idea is to be able to provide a person with a complete meal, but they can only take tinned and dried products rather than fresh meat dairy and bakery as it cannot be stored appropriately.

The supermarket budget brands are ideal for making a contribution without breaking the bank.
