Coffee Morning from 10.00 to 11.30am on Thursdays in the church hall. Join us for tea or coffee and a chat. Sales table & lucky tickets.
Church Christmas Cards are available in the hall after the service every Sunday and at morning coffee on Thursdays. Price £5 per pack of 10.
Church Magazine – The next News from the Pews is urgently needing new articles from the congregation.  There are a few weeks until articles have to be gathered together – have a think, what are you able to contribute to OUR magazine or what would you like to be included in OUR magazine.
Fife Constabulary Community Meetings Fife Constabulary is committed to allowing you to directly influence local policing.  You can have your say on local priorities by coming to the community engagement meeting in your area. Community officers will co-ordinate action on those priorities and report progress back at the next meeting. Date of the next meeting in Markinch Church Hall is Tuesday 2nd November at 7.30pm
Fundraising Ceilidh. Glenrothes Rotary are organising a fundraising Ceilidh in aid of their nominated charities – Teenage Cancer Trust and Crossroads (Glenrothes Branch) The ceilidh will be held on Friday 12th November at Gilvenbank Hotel, Glenrothes.  Tickets priced at £25 include a 3 course meal and ceilidh.  Tickets can be purchased from Tracy Thomson – 01592 775752. The band will be The Gary Sutherland Ceilidh Band.
The Flowers in Church today are gifted by Alison and Bruce Taylor. They are dedicated to The Glory Of God and in loving memory of their first born son, baby Andrew Taylor.

Markinch: Its Church and Parish  A  new book by Ian Gourlay and Ken Wilkie.  A companion to the volume The Church in Markinch which was published in 2001.
The paperback is priced at £12.50 (£10 for church members) and the hardback priced at £18.00 (£15 for church members).
All profits from the sale of the book go to our church funds. Copies of the paperback are on sale in the hall today or contact Ken Wilkie on 01592 760042 or email book@markinchchurch.org.uk to reserve copies of the hardback. These have been ordered and will be available in around 3 weeks time.

Life and Work 2011 – Are YOU interested?  Life and Work is the magazine of the Church of Scotland. In its 128-year history it has established itself as the pre-eminent voice of the Church of Scotland. Though firmly rooted in the affairs of the Kirk, it also aims to cover a broad range of subjects of interest to church-goers, across the spectrum from international affairs and British political and social issues to science, ethics and the arts.
