Ministers Vestry Hour 12 noon – 1.00 pm. Let him know if he can help.

Coffee Morning from 10.00 to 11.30am on Thursdays in the church hall. Join us for tea or coffee and a chat. Sales table & lucky tickets.

The Guild meets tomorrow evening, Monday 8th November, at 7.00p.m. in the  Church Hall.  Linda Ballingall will delight us with memories from the musicals.

The Congregational Board will meet in the hall at 7.15 p.m. on Monday 15th November. Copies of the agenda and minute of the previous meeting are now available in the Session House for members who do not have e-mail facilities.

Church Christmas Cards are available in the hall after the service every Sunday and at morning coffee on Thursdays. Price £5 per pack of 10.

Church Magazine – The next News from the Pews is urgently needing new articles from the congregation.  What are you able to contribute or what would you like to be included in your magazine. Articles to Tracy Thomson please.

Fundraising Ceilidh. Glenrothes Rotary are organising a fundraising Ceilidh in aid of their nominated charities. The ceilidh will be held on Friday 12th November at Gilvenbank Hotel. Tickets are £25 and include a 3 course meal. Contact Tracy Thomson on 01592 775752. The band will be The Gary Sutherland Ceilidh Band.

Life and Work 2011 – Are you interested? Life and Work is the magazine of the Church of Scotland. In its 128-year history it has established itself as the pre-eminent voice of the Church of Scotland. Though firmly rooted in the affairs of the Kirk, it also aims to cover a broad range of subjects of interest to church-goers, across the spectrum from international affairs and British political and social issues to science, ethics and the arts.  If you are interested please contact Tracy Thomson before 14th November. Markinch: Its Church and Parish A new book by Ian Gourlay and Ken Wilkie.
A companion to the volume The Church in Markinch which was published in 2001. The paperback is priced at £12.50 (£10 for church members) and the hardback priced at £18.00 (£15 for church members). All profits from the sale of the book go to our church funds. Copies of both the paperback and the hardback will be available in the hall after the service next Sunday, 14th November.
